Pro-Poor Growth Research by various agencies, 2005

2005 saw a flurry of research into Pro-Poor Growth, much of which drew conclusions about the investment climate (and indeed education, infrastructure etc.)

A consortium, which included the British, French and German development agencies, and the World Bank, published its findings under the heading of Operationalising Pro-Poor Growth (OPPG). You can download the report either on the right hand side or from the DFID website.

Country studies were conducted in Bangladesh, Bolivia, Brazil, Burkina Faso, El Salvador, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Romania, Senegal, Tunisia, Uganda, Vietnam and Zambia; these can be downloaded on the right hand side, or again from the DFID website.

USAID also conducted research, in Brazil, Egypt, Indonesia, Peru, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Ukraine and Zambia. The link to their website is given above. There are also issues papers on agriculture, conflict, education, gender, health, HIV and privatisation.

Sida has published an Integrated Economic Analysis of PPG in Kenya, which you can download on the right hand siude or via the Sida website.
